iFunbox is a powerful tool which provides full access to your iPad or iPhone. A friendly user-interface makes it surprisingly simple to access the filesystem of your iDevice, allowing for the transfer of photos, text message logs, phone records, and even app data that would normally be locked away. Transfers go both directions with iFunbox, as the program can even be used to install applications. A particularly useful aspect to this feature is the batch installation of programs. That is, no longer will users need to wait for apps to transfer and install one at a time. This is especially useful for enterprise device managers, developers, or power users who may not have the time to manually select and install large groups of applications.
Other useful features include the ability to "watch" apps and download them only when they reach a certain price, to use your iDevice as a portable disk for transferring files between computers, and to import and export everything from songs to ringtones. There are a multitude of reasons to use iFunbox, and the simple interface and installation process makes the program's features available to individuals of varying technical ability.
Installing iFunbox is as simple as operating it; our install went off without a hitch, save for a minor gripe from our antivirus. While the program seems benign, the root-level nature of the iFunbox may agitate certain security software. Once installed, users need only to plug in their iDevice and wait for it to appear in the sidebar. iTunes is required, however, which shouldn't be an issue for most iPhone or iPad users who most likely already use it to manage their files.
Pros:
-Installation and operation is simple
-Wide range of features that are easy to use
-Unique functions like batch downloads and app watching are well-implemented
Cons:
-May trigger antivirus alerts
-Requires iTunes
